On February 27, 2005, Ky Matthes and I went to the Highland Games at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, CA.
We joined our friend Linnea, who was helping us recruit Scottish Warriors for "The Eyes of Scott Robbins."
There were thousands of people there in kilts. We got to see their big parade.

That's JD. He was very interested in our movie shoot and would become a major part of the scene.
There was one group in the parade that came from a very different time period.
They were sort of like British East India Company guys.
After the parade was over, they did a very loud wepons demonstration.
They even fired off a cannon and a gatling gun - a real gatling gun - just twenty feet from us!
One even posed with me for a picture. It was an awesome time at the Queen Mary!
