Andria and I went to Elvis Week 2003 at Elvis Presley's Graceland.
It's a serious deal. No joking around on the anniversary of Elvis' death.
People kept saying Andria was carrying Elvis' love child.
"Elvis was the Greatest Entertainer that ever lived" they said before raising candles.
Candles were provided for those that had none.
There were several thousand people there. All those dots really are candle flames.
After the Vigil, people lined up to file past Elvis' grave. The line was well over four hours long.
We payed our respects from the parking lot.
Man, is she pregnant. Any day now...
Elvises came from all over the world to remember The King.
(Or The Queen, as the case may be...)
Even the littlest Elvis of all had a great time mourning Elvis's death.
We paid a visit to the Dead Elvis Ball with Andria and Jeff's friend Laura. (Laura's pic)
The fashion show was alternately wonderful and terrifying. (Laura's Pic)
The next day we went to Mud Island, a Mississippi river museum. That's me pointing to my old haunt, Lake Itasca.
The museum has a five block long replica of the river, complete with flowing water. Here's Jeff and Andria pointing to their house on the model!
We went and saw Whale Rider (we all cried) and then had good pizza.
Then I said goodby to their Mastiff Finn and came home. Thanks to Andria, Jeff, Finn, Decibel, and the bunny for a fun trip!
