Hey Guys.
This is my new car.
Yeah, it's the Knight Industries Two Thousand.
Or K.I.T.T, if you prefer...
I bought him from a guy in Austin named Dan.
Found each other on eBay.
Dan built KITT for a hobby, and now was selling him off.
I test-drove him about a month before buying him, and it was pretty cool.
Knight Rider purists will notice that he has the right "bowling ball" hubcaps.
The right blacked-out rear lights.
The right nose, and pop-up headlights.
Dan installed a 355hp Chevy ZZ4 engine in KITT, too. He runs gooooood.
The dash guages are real.
There's even a TV.
He's got the right steering wheel...
A T-Top and roof panel buttons...
And yes.
He talks.
I flew back to Austin a couple days before Thanksgiving to pick him up.
After saying farewell to my new friends, K.I.T.T. and I hit the road, heading west...
Everywhere I went, people wanted their picture with KITT.
Every time I stopped the car - getting gas, at tourist attractions, even stoplights, someone would ask about him.
I made a lot of new friends on the road.
And, you know, fought crime.
KITT and I roamed far and wide across this great nation...
Putting right what once went wrong...
And stopping to enjoy the scenery whenever it warranted.
The road opened up wide before us.
KITT always did his best to keep me out of trouble, but we had plenty of misadventures.
We even had a very SPECIAL adventure in Vegas...
I learned a lot on that journey. A lot about America. A lot about myself.
"One man CAN make a difference," said the really intense voice in the Knight Rider opening credits.
